DON’T MIND THE CROWD

Now as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed Him. And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!” Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!” So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

Jesus teaches us the best approach to getting what we really want in life. There is just no way you can excel, succeed or become great without having to navigate through many obstacles and hindrances.

In our discovery word today, we are told the story of two blind men who had been in that state for a long time and longed to recover their sight. The moment they heard of Jesus passing through, they went after him since they knew he had the power and capacity to heal them. However, the Bible tells us that the crowd rebuked them as they shouted and asked to be healed but I am glad that rather than keeping quiet because of people’s reaction, they shouted the more. This is the only reason why they were able to receive their sight. Imagine they had been intimidated by the crowd that tried to keep them quiet, they probably would have remained blind for the rest of their lives.

What you are going through today and you need a solution for, can become a thing of the past if only you can apply thesame principles here. In the first place, the Bible says the blind men shouted. Many people are taking the issues of their lives with levity. There are some things you don’t stay gentle about. The thief cometh not but to steal, to kill and to destroy. You don’t see a thief and start laughing with him. You are responsible for what happens to your life. You have a duty to shout by taking a major action, engaging in warfare or being radical about that situation.

Secondly, they ignored the crowd. A person who truly wants to succeed will shut his or her ears from the crowd. If you have to pay attention to people’s opinions about your vision, you will probably get nowhere. Shun the crowd and go for your miracle. I pray you receive all that God has prepared for you from today in Jesus name.

DISCOVERY PRAYERS

1. I receive the grace to become radical about my vision and not stop until it is fulfilled in Jesus name.

2. I persevere and ignore every crowd trying to detail me and delay me in Jesus name.
