THE COMPENSATION PLAN

When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb; but Rachel was barren.
Genesis 29:31 NKJV

Have you ever been in such a situation where it seems injustice was being done to you for no reason? Have you ever wondered why some things happened to you and it didn’t happen to someone else. Well, I am sure you know that some things happen and you almost can not find a reason for such happenings.

In our scripture today, Leah who was given to Jacob as wife was unloved by Jacob because she was deceitfully handed over as wife to Jacob. God however did not see things the way Jacob saw it. The Bible tells us that when God saw how Leah was being treated by her husband, He organized for her to have an edge over Rachael. God saw it as injustice for Leah to be unloved since it wasn’t her fault that she became the wife of Jacob. For this reason, God opened the womb of Leah and deliberately shut the womb of Rachael who was her rival and moreso her sister. You shouldn’t get yourself bothered about how some people treat you thinking that you are the one suffering. God has a way of surprising your enemies. Those who had been mocking you and making you feel bad are about to receive a major surprise as God is set to give you an advantage over them.

I encourage you to stop complaining about how people are treating you from now but rather start giving thanks to God and rejoicing always. God in this passage had to shut the womb of Rachael and opened the womb of Leah just because of how she was being treated. Get ready for a special treatment from God this week in Jesus name. Don’t count that ill treatment as a disadvantage for God is about to bless you based on that. Despite your dedication to work, you are being paid peanuts, despite your years of service you are not being compensated rightly, despite giving your all to a relationship, that guy or lady finally left you, and many other scenerios. Rejoice for God has a mega plan ahead of you.
