FROM STRUGGLES TO HELP

For the land you are about to enter and take over is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, where you planted your seed and made irrigation ditches with your foot as in a vegetable garden. Rather, the land you will soon take over is a land of hills and valleys with plenty of rain— a land that the Lord your God cares for. He watches over it through each season of the year!

There are two dimensions of results. There are those who have to struggle and put in a lot of effort for results to happen which is not bad, but there are also those who put in very little and God does the rest on their behalf. The question here is “which would you like to function in?”

In our Discovery Devotional today, we see how that Moses began to remind the people of the kind of land that God is taking them to. He said that the new land they are about to occupy is not the same as Egypt where they had to make irrigation ditches to water their seeds so that it grows but rather it is a place where God Himself sends rain to water the seeds. It is obvious that there are two ways to succeed. You can either succeed with so much effort or with less effort. Have you ever met people who seem not to know as much as you do, neither do they work as much as you do but seem to produce more results? That is a realm of help. I pray that you would move from the realm of struggles to help today in Jesus name.

To move into the realm of help, you need to allow God to be in charge of your life. You can’t continue to do things your own way and expect God to interfere in your life. This is why it seemed like God gave every order concerning the life of the Israelites. This is because He wanted them to live a life free of struggles. Who is the driver of your life?

If you would put God in the fore front of your life, He would handle everything that concerns you. This is why it is important to talk to Him, study His word and spend some time of fellowship with Him. Every-time you spend time with Him, you are showing your dependence on Him and He would surely direct your life. I pray that from today, you would stop struggling and start receiving the help of God in Jesus name.

DISCOVERY CONFESSION

1. I allow God to take over the leadership of my life from today in Jesus name.

2. I would stop struggling from today and move into a realm of favor and abundance in Jesus name.
