DISCOVERY WORD FOR TODAY. 23-03-2021

WRITE…

Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus,
Luke 1:1‭-‬3 NKJV

Have you ever wondered what the world would look like today if we didn’t have history presented to us in writings. Sometimes I wonder how we would have had God’s word in us if those who were used by God had not written their personal accounts.

In our scripture today, we see Luke, one of those who wrote the synoptic gospels explain the essence and motivation for writing his own account of the scriptures. He expressed his writing as something that was good. He spoke about the need to write an orderly account based on the things he had witnessed and had experienced. This is the reason why we can read the book of Luke today which is still the most detailed of the synoptic gospels. Writing is not an option but a must for everyone who must become great in life. I used to dislike writing a lot but had to come to terms with the need and importance of it. Today, we know a lot about so many people because they either wrote accounts about themselves or some other people wrote about them.

The challenge is that many think that to write would always involve and mean writing books. Writing books is good and important but that is not where it starts from. Books are usually a compilation of several notes that had been written over time. This is why books are usually broken down into chapters and topics. I challenge you to begin to write from today beginning with your vision. The scriptures encourages us to write our vision and make it very readable. If you have not written your vision and goals, how much more books.

If you want to become great, become disciplined in writing from today. Start by writing your ideas, vision, goals, thoughts, experiences and especially testimonies. Have small jotters and notes filled with ideas and visions written by you. As you get used to this, you will discover God bringing more experiences your way that demands writing. Thank God Moses wrote, Joshua wrote, the disciples wrote and of course God Himself wrote. If God had to write the ten commandments with His own hands, no one has an excuse to evade writing. I pray you receive the grace to write from today in Jesus name.
